ABOUT US / HISTORY OF INCE & CO
Ince & Co is one of the oldest international law firms. The firm’s London office opened in 1870.
Today we have nine offices worldwide. Our international expansion began in 1979 when the firm opened its office in Hong Kong. Since then we have expanded to Singapore (1991), Piraeus (1993), Shanghai (2000), Hamburg (2001), Le Havre (2002), Paris (2002) and Dubai (2006).

Later history
In 2000, insurance & reinsurance partner Peter Rogan became Senior Partner and led the firm’s recent international expansion.
In 2008 Peter stepped down as Senior Partner. He continues to practise in the insurance and reinsurance markets. Peter was succeeded by admiralty partner James Wilson, an accredited mediator who is actively involved in the Maritime Solicitors’ Mediation Service.
