ABOUT US / CSR / CHARITIES 2011
Ince is committed to supporting various local, national and international charities. We regularly participate in fund-raising such as:
- The OSCAR (Ocean and Shipping Community Advancing Children's Health and Research) campaign - the shipping community supports children's hospital Great Ormond Street (GOSH)
- Chauncy Maples - supporting the conversion of this ship into a primary health clinic on Lake Malawi
- Ince & Co partner Colin de la Rue has successfully concluded "Eight Up", in which he climbed eight mountains in aid of eight charitable causes.
- cycling in the BP MS 150 from Houston to Austin, USA for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
- the London Marathon in which employees raise money through sponsorship for their chosen charities
- a ‘Genes for Jeans’ day
- a dedicated day to raising funds for breast cancer research.
The firm supports various charitable organisations that work directly with the seafaring community, including the Mission to Seafarers and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
In addition, several Ince & Co partners and staff members have been appointed Sailors’ Society ambassadors; the Sailor’s Society is an international charity providing welfare support to merchant seafarers.
