ABOUT US / CSR / CHARITIES 2012 / OSCAR (OCEAN AND SHIPPING COMMUNITY ADVANCING CHILDREN'S HEALTH AND RESEARCH)
Ince & Co has joined companies and individuals from the London shipping community to assist the renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in a new appeal for donations. The aim is to raise funds towards areas of urgent need at the specialist hospital and its research partner, the UCL Institute of Child Health.
The campaign hopes to raise £500,000 toward the remaining £2.2 million needed for the Seas and Oceans themed floor in the hospital's new building, opening in 2012.
The innovative fundraising partnership is the inspiration of Phil Parry. Phil was a trainee at Ince & Co and qualified with the firm in 1995. He continues to work within the shipping industry.
Phil started the OSCARS appeal alongside Great Ormond Street following long term treatment for his son Oscar who fell ill with leukaemia at just three years of age. Oscar's life was saved by a groundbreaking stem cell transplant.
