In a judgment handed down on 2 May 2012, the UK Supreme Court has provided interesting clarification in relation to the scope of contractual indemnities in a time charter context and the rights and responsibilities arising out of a non-contractual bailment where a time charter has come to an end.

The fictional air disaster involves a passenger aircraft crashing off the runway as it lands in bad weather. During the one day conference the panel of experts will demonstrate how such a disaster may be investigated and managed and cover the issues surrounding legal liability, the technical and ethical issues that result from such a tragedy and the strategies that may be employed in settling the claims.
