Ince & Co promotes three new partners
Friday 01 May, 2009
International law firm Ince & Co promoted three new partners on 1 May. Their appointments have not only strengthened the firm’s partner teams in Hamburg, Hong Kong and London, but have also supplemented the firm’s capabilities in delivering legal advice in the energy & offshore, international trade and commodities, marine insurance and shipping sectors. The promotions bring the number of partners in the firm to 89.
The three new partners specialise in the following areas:
Simon Hems – dispute resolution including commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular emphasis on energy and insurance. Simon represents some of the largest contractors in the oil and gas industry, particularly in technically complex construction disputes for both onshore and offshore projects all over the world (based in London).
Daniel Jones – English law shipping, trade and marine insurance lawyer. He represents clients in arbitrations and court proceedings and lectures on trade and insurance law (based in Hamburg).
Rory Macfarlane – general commercial litigation and all aspects of contentious shipping as well as general commercial litigation, mediations and arbitrations. He is qualified as a solicitor both in England & Wales and Hong Kong (based in Hong Kong).
Senior Partner, James Wilson, commented: ‘These additions to our partner team in key locations have enabled us to enhance our levels of client service. In these turbulent economic times, clients are particularly focused on quality; each of these individuals demonstrates the high level of knowledge and commitment that our clients expect. Their industry expertise, combined with an excellent grasp of commercial reality, enables them to play an important role in supporting our clients’ business.’
