Ince & Co celebrates office opening in Monaco
Monday 17 October, 2011
The Monegasque Minister of State for Finance, Mr Marco Piccinini, along with Mr. Henri Fissore, Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco and the President of the Monaco Chamber of Shipping, Mr Manolo Veladini were among the many guests welcomed by senior partner James Wilson and Monaco managing partner Ian Cranston to the new Monaco office opening party on 6 October 2011. Over 200 guests attended, including Monegasque clients and community members, as well as clients from France, Germany, Greece, Italy and the UK.
In his welcoming speech Mr Manolo Veladini said: “The shipping industry becomes larger and larger every year with more and more shipping companies deciding to open an office here in Monaco. Your presence will not only provide advice to the local shipping industry but also bring prestige to our Monegasque Chamber of Shipping and to the Principality.”
Ian Cranston, who is also head of the firm’s Monaco and Italy teams, said "For over 20 years, I have been doing business in Monaco, advising our shipping and energy clients on English law. I am delighted we have now opened our office here providing an immediate and face-to-face service to our clients as and when required.”
James Wilson, senior partner of Ince & Co, said: “Our office in Monaco is the tenth for Ince & Co globally. We have opened each of our offices in response to our clients’ and the markets’ demands for English law advice. The legal advice we provide here to shipping and yacht clients, as well as to businesses in the energy & offshore sector, will contribute to Monaco’s goal of becoming the centre of choice for the shipping industry in the Mediterranean.”
