Shipping partner named Global Shipping & Maritime Lawyer of the Year 2010

Ince & Co Partner Jonathan Lux has been named ‘Global Shipping & Maritime Lawyer of the Year 2010’ in the Who’s Who Legal Awards. Who’s Who Legal used the thousands of nominations it received from clients and private practice professionals in over 50 countries to identify leading individuals.

Jonathan is a leading expert in shipping and commercial law with particular expertise in bunkers and is co-author of the only legal textbook on bunkers - Fisher & Lux on "Bunkers" (now in its third edition). He has direct commercial experience in the maritime industry and in the related fields of energy, insurance, and international trade and commerce. He advises P&I Clubs, their shipowner and charterer members, and major insurers.

His experience has led him to champion the use of ADR and arbitration in these sectors, to enable people quickly and cost-effectively to put disputes behind them and get on with their business. Jonathan is a Council Member of the International Bunker Industry Association and former co-ordinator of its working group on dispute resolutions, and a Director of the London Shipping Law Centre.
