International law firm Ince & Co advised Invesco Real Estate and the iii-BVK Europa-Immobilien-Spezialfonds, an institutional real estate fund of Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK) on the acquisition of 107 Cheapside for £124 million.

Ince & Co contributes to new GUARDCON contract for the employment of security guards on vessels

BIMCO's new Guardcon standard contract for the employment of private security guards on commercial vessels, published 28 March 2012 after an intensive consultation and development period, was welcomed by Ince & Co partner Stephen Askins. Stephen was a member of the Baltic and International Maritime Council drafting team that included representatives from the International Group of P & I Clubs, shipowners and insurers.

Court of Appeal gives effect to market practice - guarantees given in email negotiations

(1) Salgaocar Mining Industries PVT Limited and (2) Mr Anil V Salgaocar [2012] EWCA Civ 265 For a guarantee to be enforceable, the Statute of Frauds 1677 requires it (or a note or memorandum of it) to be in writing and signed by the guarantor or by a person authorised on his behalf.

Maritime Piracy - Armed Guards Legal Workshop, 21 March
