Jo spent two years at a Lloyd’s Syndicate before joining the firm in 1998 and being appointed a partner in 2007.

She specialises in insurance and reinsurance law and has advised on coverage issues in a wide range of classes, including aviation, satellite, marine, energy, liability, professional negligence, property, business interruption and ART transactions, in the direct and reinsurance contexts. She has experience of complex international multi-party litigation, arbitration and mediation gained acting for clients including London market and international insurers/reinsurers, run-off providers and a number of assureds/reassureds. Jo also regularly advises Captives on issues affecting their exposures and liabilities.

As an Officer of the U35s Reinsurance Group Committee for over five years Jo maintained strong links with the insurance and reinsurance community. Her role involved providing education and training for young market reinsurance professionals and organising the U35s annual study trips overseas, visiting Latin America, Eastern Europe, Bermuda, US, the Far East and Australia for purposes which she assures us were entirely educational. She remains a member of that group and also of other organisations within the industry, including ARC and BILA.
