Can is a qualified German Rechtsanwalt. Prior to joining Ince was a research assistant and lecturer at the University of Hamburg.
His practice is non-contentious and has extensive experience advising clients on international asset financing, structured finance and corporate law in particular M&A. He has also been involved in various ship finance transactions and loan and security documentation.
In addition, Can frequently handles vessel/yacht sale & purchase transactions (MoA’s) and deals with issues of registration, inter alia change of flag and mortgages. Most recently, he has dealt with various re-sales and string sales.
Can has extensive shipbuilding expertise advising clients on a range of matters including negotiating building contracts for owners with regard to commercial vessels, yachts and superyachts.
Can is fluent in German, English and Turkish. He has a large Turkish and Middle Eastern client base.
