Chris has extensive knowledge of the modern commercial aviation industry from the legal, operational and technical viewpoints.

Prior to joining Ince he was part of the core senior management team at Emirates Airlines for 15 years where he was involved in every aspect of the airline's operations.

Chris advised on one of the largest single orders placed with an aircraft manufacturer and negotiated the first purchase agreement for the Airbus A380 mega jumbo aircraft.

Chris advises scheduled airlines, VIP carriers, start-ups, aircraft operators and lessees, air charter brokers and high net worth individuals.

He specialises in the acquisition of aircraft and related equipment. Chris has extensive experience of fleet acquisition, expansion and renewal, providing a broad spectrum service to clients, ranging from requests for quotation from manufacturers through to aircraft delivery. He frequently advises on in-service warranty and performance issues and related disputes.

Chris advises clients on aircraft operating leases as well as on wet and dry leases of aircraft, and is regularly involved in the drafting of contracts in these areas.

Chris’ unique hands-on practical experience of running an airline gives him a qualitative edge in understanding clients’ technical and commercial concerns.

Chris has been involved in some of the highest value aircraft financing and leasing packages in commercial aviation.

He advises on both “plain vanilla” and structured, asset-backed financing and re-financing of aircraft, engines and related equipment and has acted for lessees, operators and borrowers. His experience includes involvement in the handling and negotiation of term sheets, finance leases and the full range of aircraft finance operative documentation.

Chris is familiar with management of conditions precedent and all steps necessary for the successful and timely closing of transactions and the flow of funds. He has been involved in numerous pre-delivery financings and with the broad range of aircraft financing structures currently in use.
