Clare deals with a wide range of contractor clients on both contentious and non-contentious issues connected with offshore operations around the world.
On a day to day basis she advises on drilling contracts, management and engineering contracts, charterparties, construction contracts, EPIC contracts, MOUs and associated insurance cover.
Clare has been involved in a number of large disputes with a heavy technical content including claims concerning the design, engineering and construction of a variety of offshore units together with a series of onshore drilling and engineering issues.
Clare is a member of the firm's dry shipping business group and acts for clubs and with owners and charterers directly.
Her shipping practice has a particular focus on time and voyage charterparty matters. She frequently acts for clients on cargo disputes, unsafe port claims, speed and performance claims, heavy lift cargos, pollution incidents, loading and stowage disputes, wrongful cancellations and disputes as to seaworthiness.
