Genelle joined Ince & Co in 2006 and is qualified in England & Wales. She originally qualified and practised at a large firm in Melbourne and Sydney in their Insurance Dispute Resolution Group. She then worked with another law firm in Toronto in their Insurance and Aviation group.
Genelle's practice covers a range of marine and aviation classes of direct insurance and facultative reinsurance business, including Hull and Machinery and Charterers' Liability claims, and claims made under AVN1C in the London and international Markets.
Genelle is Treasurer of the Under 35's Marine Insurance Group Committee, which is active in providing education and training for young marine insurance professionals in the Market. Genelle is actively involved in organising the annual Ince & Co Court Day which is held in association with the Under 35's Marine Insurance Group. The Court Day provides some members of the Market with the opportunity to hear cases being held in the Royal Courts of Justice and to enjoy a tour of the Courts by our Head Court Clerk. A Judge of the Commercial Court and a Senior Barrister also speak to the group about being a witness and what it might be like to be cross-examined at trial..
