Gilles is a specialist in international dispute resolution, with particular expertise in shipping. His practice ranges from charterparty disputes, through latent defects and collisions, to pollution claims. He acts for shipowners, charterers, insurers, P&I Clubs and transportation agents.
A member of the Association Française de Droit Maritime (AFDM) since 1980, he lectures on maritime law in France and overseas.

Drawing on his expertise in international dispute resolution, Gilles practises as an advocate in litigation in the French Courts and in arbitration. His practice includes pleading before commercial and civil Courts, in forums such as the French Chambre Arbitrale Maritime de Paris and the ICC, as well as ad hoc arbitrations and mediations.
Among other things, he handles disputes arising in the context of FIDIC Rules.
