Gillie heads the firm’s global Aviation practice. She advises a range of clients from airlines, financiers, manufacturers and their insurers with regard to a broad range of their disputes in contract and tort, under the various liability regimes and usually dealing with complex international problems.

Most recently she has been advising a leading finance interest in relation to their hull claim for US$100 million in respect of two missing Boeing 747s, including running their claim in the English High Court very successfully before the matter was concluded in mediation. She is known for her formidable case handling and strategic direction skills in relation to very large and complex cases. 

She is also recognised by the leading UK independent legal directories who comment "singled out by sources for her straightforward advice" and "always gets the results her clients want"  Chambers & Partners.

Gillie heads Ince & Co’s Aviation team. Her expertise in dispute resolution and the management of crises, including reputational issues, extends to the aviation industry.

In the energy sector, Gillie advises on English and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

A member of the international emergency response team at Ince & Co, she has specialist expertise in defendant personal injury cases, and is also well versed in matters of reputation, a subject on which she has published.

As a specialist in dispute resolution and a key member of the non-marine international emergency response team, Gillie is frequently consulted in a strategic role for a variety of clients, acting for organisations involved in the hotel and transport industries.
