Harry specialises in Admiralty law, dealing primarily with shipping casualties involving collision, grounding, total loss and pollution. He has been involved in several major cases of this nature, starting with the Bowbelle/Marchioness collision in London in 1989 and the Ocean Blessing/Nagasaki Spirit collision off Singapore in 1992. Harry also acted on the Hebei Spirit pollution incident in Korea in 2007, and the Neftegaz 67/Yao Hai collision in Hong Kong in 2008.
He has travelled extensively around Asia on casualty matters, and is familiar with the law and procedures in several of the local jurisdictions, particularly Japan, Korea and China.
Harry also handles other shipping matters, including charterparty disputes and cargo claims, particularly in relation to charterparty matters and cargo claims arising in shipping casualties, where transhipment and general average issues also often arise.
