Martin has comprehensive finance experience, including asset, project, acquisition and trade finance. He works with many of the leading international shipping banks, lessors, shipowners, funds and equity providers, and has been involved in a broad range of export credit, lending and leasing transactions, both conventional and Islamic.
Martin also assists clients with their corporate finance activities, such as mergers and demergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and private placements, particularly in the shipping and offshore sectors.
Martin acts for owners and operators in relation to sale and purchase transactions in respect of ships and other assets, and the chartering of vessels.
He has particular experience of syndicated bank lending, debt restructuring and work-outs and security enforcement throughout Asia.
Martin acts for banks and owners in connection with acquisition, conversion, financing and contracting of offshore oil and gas assets including FPSOs, MOPUs, drilling rigs and LNG carries.
His practice extends to the combined equity, debt and lease financing of these assets as well as renewable energy projects.
