Tim acts for a number of major energy industry contractors in both the onshore and offshore sectors, as well as shipyards and suppliers. He has significant experience of commercial litigation in these areas and particular expertise in marine and energy risks. He also assists clients with the drafting and negotiation of contracts, including for offshore and onshore construction and engineering projects and general terms and conditions.

acting for a leading engine manufacturer in litigation concerning a coal-fired power plant
advising owning company in relation to the construction and operation of offshore supply vessels
advising a German manufacturer in relation to the construction of a power plant.
Tim advises on all matters relating to shipping law, contentious and non-contentious. He specialises in cargo claims, shipbuilding/repair and ship S&P matters, advising owners, shipyards and suppliers. A large amount of his work relates to yachting matters.

Tim's general shipping and commercial dispute practice often concerns insurance matters. In addition to his contentious insurance and reinsurance practice, he advises insurers, insureds and brokers on drafting insurance policies.
