WORK AT INCE / TRAINEE RECRUITMENT / TRAINEE RECRUITMENT PLACEMENT SCHEME

Our Trainee Recruitment Placement Scheme (TRPS) gives you a practical insight into our firm and our practice.

Unfortunately the deadline for our 2011 Trainee Recruitment Placement Scheme has now passed. We are currently accepting applications for our 2013 training contracts and will continue to do so until 31 July 2011.

The scheme runs at Easter and during the summer. In total, up to 15 people take part each year, with each placement lasting two weeks. We welcome a maximum of three at any one time to ensure that we can give you all the attention and support you need.

During the scheme, you sit with a partner, usually a member of our recruitment committee, and you're assigned a trainee as your ‘minder', to look after you while you're with us.

You work on real cases – attending court and hearings and meeting clients, drafting correspondence, doing legal research.

The aim is to give you a thorough taste of life as a trainee at Ince & Co. It could also be the first step on the road to becoming an Ince trainee, as all TRPS participants are guaranteed an interview for a training contract with us for two years ahead. For this reason, we are only able to consider applications from those who are able to commence a training contract with us in September 2013.

Beth Bostock and Franco D'Andrea both took part in the TRPS and then went on to accept training contracts with the firm.

Beth Bostock, attended TRPS in 2008 and joinedthe firm as a trainee in September 2009.
“On the TRPS it struck me that everyone I worked for was welcoming, helpful and interested in what I was doing. Although it was daunting asking for work from Partners, I soon realised that they wanted to facilitate my understanding of how Ince & Co functions. This enabled me to see for myself the work trainees do and the level of responsibility they obtain at an early stage.”

Franco D'Andrea, attended TRPS in 2010, and will be starting his training contract in 2012.
“The first thing that struck me was that I felt welcome immediately and this continued for the duration of the two weeks. I was amazed at the quality of work I was able to take on both in regards to its depth and its range. The TRPS really is a snap-shot into the life of a trainee solicitor and as such is extremely valuable.”
