"During my training I had a wide spread of shipping and insurance work. The shipping work involved a lot of non-contentious transactional work in the business and finance group.
Within the business and finance group we've increased our work for banks, financing the acquisition of all types of vessels and offshore units. We've just completed a deal where we were acting for a syndicate of banks on a loan of US$805m, which involved 15 new-build vessels.
I'm involved in a wide range of non-contentious work in the shipping and offshore oil and gas industries, including drafting joint venture agreements, advising on charterparties and various offshore projects, and negotiating shipbuilding contracts.
